We rarely meet anyone who doesn't like Chablis. This queen of all white wines is made from the majestic Chardonnay grape, but unlike many New World style Chardonnays it is subtle, refined and elegant.

Connoisseurs will often refer to the pureness of style which is a reflection of the unique combination of climate, soil and winemaking of the Chablis region. Grown in kimmeridgian chalk (the same soil type as the cliffs of Dover), the wines of Chablis have been celebrated for centuries as truly elegant wines with a steely freshness.

Chablis is also one of the most picturesque towns in Burgundy to visit - imagine sitting on a stone terrace, watching the river meander by as you sip your glass of chilled Chablis...

Light in style, this Chablis is perfect on its own or with herb-flavoured home cooked dishes like chicken with tarragon or salmon and dill. It is also a great match to Fish & Chips, prawns with garlic butter, vegetable terrines or goat’s cheese.

To produce Radcliffe’s Chablis, we work with the team at Antonin Rodet, one of the most prestigious Burgundy houses, founded in 1875. Chablis is the northernmost wine district of the Burgundy region, lying about 100 miles north of Beaune and is home to nearly 5,000 hectares of vineyards around and alongside the Serein river.

Over the last 2 centuries Rodet have built up a collection of domaines and châteaux which gives them unrivalled access to the most fantastic vines – and we like the fact that the wines that they make are kind to the environment too.
